Lash Extension Aftercare

For the best retention, wash your lashes every single day!
Why does washing your lashes affect your lash extensions? The oils you produce throughout the day breaks down the lash glue so that your lash extensions will fall off faster.
I offer $10 lash aftercare kits for purchase as well as lash extension safe makeup remover. Eyeliner and eyeshadow that cannot easily be broken down by a lash cleanser must be cleansed with an oil-free makeup remover.
- No mascara on your lash extensions
- you can wear eyeliner/eyeshadow as long as you use an oil-free makeup remover at the end of the day.
- Wash with a lash safe cleanser
- There are many lash aftercare kits sold on amazon but I also sell them for $10.
- Oils are produced by your eyes everyday so it is important to wash your lashes even if you don’t wear makeup
- No oils around your eyes
- Heavy moisturizers and sunscreens should be an inch away from your eyes to ensure that it does not breakdown the glue in your lash extensions.
- Do not touch, pick, or rub your lashes
- Each time you touch your lashes you are tugging your natural lashes, so it is best to avoid touching your lash extensions.
- Avoid hot steam
- Hot steam may cause your lash extensions to singe.
- Schedule regular lash fills
- Even if your lashes look full, some of your lash extensions will become outgrown and need to be removed. Outgrown lashes can cause discomfort to your lashes so make sure you schedule fills less than 4 weeks from your appointment.
- Brush your lashes with a spoolie
- This ensures that your lashes are not tangled.
- Sleep on your back or wear a lash extension sleep eye mask
- A lash extension sleep eye mask can be found on amazon, it is an sleep mask that has a ‘bubble’ for the lashes to fit in and protect them.
